I’d like to thank Bruno Eidietis for his many years of service to the lake association. As president, Bruno was charged with many tasks to keep the lake association running and keep the lake healthy. Many projects during his tenure he tackled on his own and many were turned over to very capable hands to get the work done. Bruno will remain on the board this next year as a Director-at-Large, lending his time and talents to future projects as needed.
I’d also like to welcome Jim Muckerheide to the board. Jim will begin his two-year term as the new treasurer and brings with him years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer in the corporate world. That being said, Tom Hable, who has been the treasurer, is the new vice president. Many thanks for all the work Tom has done over the years as treasurer, and with coordinating weed treatment efforts and the stocking of fish. And last, but certainly not least, our thanks to Debbie Floor for her years as secretary of the board. Her role continues as she has been elected for another two years.
In addition, a big thank you to Fred Fornell, who has been overseeing the new augmentation well project over the past few years. This has been a huge–and very much needed–undertaking and Fred’s expertise and diligence has been a key factor in getting this project to come to fruition.
I am happy to see so many new faces at our meetings. And we appreciate all the people helping with various projects and events, including Marcia Hummel, who is coordinating a Sausage and Corn roast for next summer—and all the people who volunteered to help her. Plus, all those who volunteered to look into the feasibility of the lake association hosting a fireworks display for 2024.
