If you were near your window this morning and thought you saw a house drive by on the road, you weren’t seeing things. It really was a house.
The home on Gene’s Circle was removed from its foundation during the past few weeks and this morning (Jan. 7 ) moved to another location on Huntly Road, which was closed for two hours as workers lifted the house onto beams and slowly and carefully moved it down the road.
It was an intricate process that included utilities workers to move lines out of the way, as well as a crew to remove and replace mailboxes to avoid damage. Dozens of workers were on hand, each playing a vital role to ensure the move went smoothly.
