To Barron Lake homeowners,
It was brought to the attention of the Barron Lake Association board that on Friday, July 8, at around midnight, a group of people were racing around the lake on waverunners and boats. It is imperative that we as residents inform our neighbors of the dangers that exist with this type of reckless and illegal behavior. We ask that you make your neighbors aware of such practices taking place as the owners might not be present when such activity occurs. A second option would be to notify the Board via the CONTACT US button on the website. Or, if you prefer, call me directly at (708) 220-6125.
There are boating laws in place to keep people safe on the water–like speed limits as well as having watercraft lights on starting at dusk. If you see this type of activity, speak up. You could be helping to prevent a senseless accident and injury to the persons partaking in the activity as well as innocent people just out enjoying the water.
We’ve had a good track record on the lake when it comes to safety and we’d like to keep it that way.
Thank you.
Rick Marneris,
Vice President
