Organizers of the Niles Burn Run are teaming up with Niles Music and More to bring three days of music and fun from Friday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30, at Riverfront Park in downtown Niles.
Friday evening’s entertainment, presented by Niles Music and More, will feature The Happy Campers, a Grateful Dead jam band featuring original music projects as well, from 8 to 10 p.m.
Saturday’s events include a car show, presented by Automotive Plus, from 9 a.m. to noon with an awards presentation at 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Vendors available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live music starts at 2 p.m. and includes Breakfast for Dinner, a progressive funk band from South Bend; and Katmandu, a Bob Seger tribute band.
Sunday will feature the 50-mile charity motorcycle ride that covers Berrien and Cass Counties, escorted by law enforcement motorcade officers and local firefighters and EMTs. Registration is from 8 to 11 a.m. Kickstands up at noon with lunch to follow at Riverfront Park.
Beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Niles Music and More will sponsor a Darryl Buchanan concert. Buchanan, who grew up in South Bend, has toured the globe for more than 25 years, toured with the legendary Temptations, performed on various television shows including Saturday Night Live and at the world-famous Apollo Theatre.
