What's New|

Although many feared the pandemic would keep the Hunter Ice Festival from happening, it didn’t, but it did cause it to be a little different, (ok, a lot different) than the past 16 ice festivals. The festival, which kicked off today (Jan. 16), will include a couple of dozen ice sculptures scattered throughout the downtown Niles area. There will not be any of the additional events normally held during past festivals.

There will be 28 sculptures in total, down from the usual 150 or so, and will be placed so people who don’t want to leave their cars still can see them.

The sculptures will stay as long as weather permits.
