It won’t be long before winter is upon us and that means ice fishing once the lake freezes. Everyone who is out on the lake fishing should review and follow the regulations–particularly with regard to the size limits and quantity limits.
There have been reports in the past of fishermen taking too many fish that are undersized. In the future, any of those reports will be followed up by the DNR, and strictly enforced.
If you plan to ice fish this winter or have friends come on the lake to ice fish, the regulations apply from April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020. You’ll find everything you need to know in the 2019 Michigan Fishing Guide.
