Message from the president
Welcome to another season! On behalf of the board, I hope all of you have a wonderful summer on the lake with family, friends, and neighbors.
As many of you may have noticed, the new well has not been in operation for the past few
months. We are awaiting approval of a permit from EGLE that the county apparently omitted during the construction of the well. EGLE (Department of Environmental, Great Lakes, Energy) is a state governmental agency responsible for protecting Michigan waterways, air, land, and energy resources. We have been in constant contact with county and EGLE officials and expect the permitting to be completed soon and the well to be operational once again. In the meantime, we will continue to utilize the original well to cycle its operation to
improve its efficiency.
I’d like to remind everyone about keeping noise levels to a minimum when outside playing music, singing around bonfires, etc. We certainly want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves; that’s a big part of lake life. But it’s important to be courteous and respectful of your neighbors.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of the association. We are grateful to those who volunteer their time to serve on the board and chair committees and to those who have become members of the lake association. Your support is very much appreciated.
