More than 100 people enjoyed the afternoon at the Barron Lake Association Member BBQ, held at Bruno’s property on Rose Drive. Except for a light sprinkle, the weather was great!
There was no shortage of delicious burgers and dogs grilled to perfection, paired with scrumptious sides, and topped off with lots of tasty treats. Music was provided by DJ Fire Entertainment, who had quite a few people singing in their seats and up on the dance floor. Many had fun playing outdoor games.
More than 30 lucky guests had their names drawn for door prizes, which ran the gamut from restaurant gift cards and water toys to baskets and coolers.

The day was deemed a success. None of which would have been possible without the people who volunteered to put it all together, and of course, all the members who came out to enjoy the day!

Our first thank you goes to Bruno Eidietis, who graciously allowed the lake association to use his property for the BBQ. It was the perfect location to host this large crowd to enjoy food, friendships and fun, along with breezes, sunshine, and beautiful water views.
The BBQ committee was guided by chair Debby Koulentes, who is no stranger to volunteering on the lake. Committee members included Jan Luke, Terri Hable, Pam Durkin, MJ Markworth and Jodi Marneris.
Of course, their work couldn’t have been accomplished without a slew of volunteers who stepped forward to lend a hand (or two). Among them were Mike Luke, Tom Koulentes, Tom Hable, Fred Fornell, Mike Gross, Rick Marneris, Bob Kranc, Paul Nelson, Dave Miloshoff, Rick Kurnick, Marcia Hummel, Sylvia Stull, Renee Fornell, Butch Barnes, Bill Newhouse, Kelly Low and Chris Zache.
Sides, fruits, and desserts were graciously prepared and donated by Debby Koulentes, Renee Fornell, Jodi Marneris, Jan Luke, MJ Markworth, Jean Wleklinski, Chris Zache, Dana Simanton, Michelle DeRos, Cheryl Allen, and Pam Durkin.
